Seminar: now grappling with section 4.1 (Lehmann, 1999)
Autodidact: trying to restrengthen the knowledge around SDEs and learn limit theory of stochastic processes, but it is difficult because of the preparation for seminar and special lectures in summer
Plan in future: what I wonder about is there is few information as for the life at doctorate courses without experiments such that maths, physics, computer sciences etc. I know I should prepare for the application to DC, but simultaneously I do not know how many master's students in such relatively theoretical research areas can have existent research achievement up to the 2nd year of master's course. People around me say I can win the position, but I am not confident to research with the speed I will have any awards or post any articles to any journals. What is more, I doubt the significance of the choice of institutes from the perspective of a doctorate student because I recently have the idea that the contribution of the institute and the advisor is tiny if the differences are not explicitly significant. On the other hand, I also reckon that the brand name of the institute matters if I were to find the difficulty to stay in academia and decide to work in industry. I might have to note that the idea is risky due to the short-term viewpoint and excessively focused on one specific possibility.
I wrote for approximately 20 min. I should recall the sense to write in English by continuing the custom.
